I can’t believe it but tonight was our last night in Los Angeles, which means we're flying back home tomorrow. We had such a magical experience both here in L.A. as well as in Palm Springs for Coachella. Since it was my first time here I really didn’t know what to expect. I had some ideas based on things I’d heard and seen online, but what I can say now is that it is definitely worth the hype. Anyway, I will be sharing more about our adventures here, but first I wanted to share a casual look we shot when we were still in The Netherlands.
Before heading to L.A. the weather in Amsterdam was still a little cold, which meant staying covered up when heading outdoors. But instead of opting for darker shades, I felt that incorporating an undertone of spring was necessary. A pale color palette really lends itself nicely to the casual, easy vibes of this outfit, because sometimes there is nothing better than a big knit high-collared sweater and loose faded jeans. I think that it’s the perfect outfit for the weekend when you’re relaxing with family and friends. What’s also nice about dressing a little more laid-back, is that accessories can go a long way to enhance the outfit. Just adding a nice pair of heels, a hat and a killer bag makes the look a little more special, don’t you think? I find that these additions make an informal outfit a bit more elegant and refined. Plus, this is a really flexible look in that you can quickly transform it from day to night by simply changing the top. Versatile, comfortable minimalism—it’s a love story!
